JONNIE Irwin enjoyed a romantic anniversary night out with his ‘angel’ wife amid his cancer battle.

The beloved presenter, 49, took to Instagram to gush over his wife as they celebrated being married for seven years.

Jonnie posted a snap of him and Jessica Holmes as they enjoyed a romantic meal out.

In a touching tribute, the former A Place in the Sun star said: “7 years married to this Angel.

“I use this term because the love she shows to others is beyond comparison.

“Last night was just us; chatting, planning and gossiping. So good.”

Fans flocked with supportive messages to Jonnie and Jessica, with one saying: “Happiest of days to you both you gorgeous pair.”

A second said: “Awe happy anniversary you pair of cuties.”

“Love to see you both smiling,” said a third.

Dad of three Jonnie is currently living with stage four lung cancer, with the presenter previously revealing the tumour had spread to his brain.

He stunned fans last year by announcing his heartbreaking diagnosis.

Jonnie previously presented A Place in the Sun on Channel 4 before he was axed by bosses after revealing the shock news.
