EastEnders legend unrecognisable as he celebrates big birthday 21yrs after setting hearts racing on the soap
EASTENDERS star Jack Ryder looks worlds away from his time on Albert Square after winning legions of fans thanks to his handsome looks and carefree personality.
The star took to Instagram to mark turning 42 as he thanked his followers for their many messages.
It has been 21 years since he made his mark in Walford playing Jamie Mitchell.
The star played the role between 1998 and 2002 and was involved in some major storylines during his time in the East End.
Jack was aged just 21 when he quit the BBC show for good but went onto enjoy a career in the spotlight as he went onto appear in a slew of programmes before focusing on his work as a film and theatre director.
In his latest selfie, Jack looked suave as he shot a thumbs up to the cameras.

He sported a greyed beard and spiky hair as he looked relaxed in a cosy knitted jumper.
Writing online to mark his big day, Jack said: "You guys have been so generous with your birthday messages.
"None of them go unnoticed. Bring on the stupendous year of 42 and sending massive love and thanks to you all!"
Having walked away from EastEnders, he had a stint on variety show Stars In Their Eyes where he performed as Justin Timberlake before going onto secure even more acting roles.

Jack appeared in Channel 5's Family Affairs as well as ITV crime drama MIT: Murder Investigation Team.
The actor is also remembered for his marriage to Morning Live star Kym Marsh.
They were married between 2002 and 2009 and he was the first of the star's three husbands.
Kym went onto divorce them all.
