STRICTLY Come Dancing star Nadiya Bychkova has admitted she's "very disappointed" after she was ditched from this year's main line-up.

But the professional dancer - who will still be part of the BBC One show - said she holds no grudges and has been busy working on some incredible group dances.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun at the Who Cares Wins Awards last night, Nadiya said: "I am very disappointed, everyone on the show loves to teach and love to perform.

"Each year, it's a beautiful experience to teach and share it with a celebrity, so as I said in my post, I am disappointed but I am very excited about the whole season.

"The line-up is incredible, we've already created some amazing group dances and there are many more to come."

Speaking about why she didn't get the call back, Nadiya said: "There is no reason, it's just the line-up of professionals is much bigger than the number of celebrities we have on the show.

"So I guess every year it's a bit different."

"Me and all my fans will be supporting Kai on the show - everything goes towards him.

"It's going to be an amazing series, there is amazing talent and I'm sure there are quite a few surprises. Like last year with Hamza, you didn't think of him being a winner, but slowly the nation just fell in love with him. So just see."

Nadiya and boyfriend Kai Widdrington attended The Sun's Who Cares Wins Awards last night to celebrate the NHS.

Opening up about her own experiences, she said: "The NHS is amazing - whenever my daughter is unwell, the NHS takes incredible care of kids.

"Unlike other countries, living in Slovenia is not the same, they would let you wait for days and days.

"As a mother it's very worrying for your child. But here it's so quickly and for us it's really helpful when you're working so much and you just want your child to be okay.

"There are quite a few stories when I think about Ukrainian kids - that is very special for me, there is a big connection.

"To know what the NHS has done for Ukrainian kids is just incredible. It's sad obviously what's happening but it is amazing to see these angels, saving the lives around the world, which is incredible."

Strictly pro Kai added:  "My grandmother I lost a few years ago, she was taken care by the NHS.

"They took incredible care of her and I always remember that experience and just how amazing they were. We're really excited as we've never got to come to this event - this is our first time."

It comes after reports she and boyfriend Kai are setting up a live tour to rival the BBC franchise's next year.

It follows the pair's debut live show last year which clashed with Strictly's arena tour.
