Thomas, 27, who marries blonde beauty Rosaline, 28, was less than impressed when the photographer pointed out that the pair were stood "far apart" from each-other.

Seeming to be mortified rather than enjoying marital bliss, the couple could be seen cringing as they were prompted by a photographer to embrace and share a peck.

In the clip, Rosaline could be heard stating: "He's a bit tense.

"It's making me feel a bit awkward around him."

The new couple even visibly grimaced when asked to attempt a "dip" with a "kiss at the end" for one of the supposedly romantic shots.

They then engaged in a very stiff kiss, with sparks failing to fly.

Rosaline even stated: "This is so terrible."

She then went on to add: "Awkward isn't it?"

The florist previously shared her eagerness to find her dream man before embarking on the show, stating: "I’m excited, but I’m also feeling quite nervous. It doesn’t feel real!"

Thomas also appeared to look forward to meeting his Mrs Right, writing: "I’m excited to meet this person and see what we could do together."

The E4 marriage experiment is back with sixteen hopeful lovebirds hoping to be matched with their ideal partner - but not every couple experiences a magical big day.

And although the newlyweds seem to endure a frosty exchange, relationship experts Charlene DouglasPaul C Brunson, and Mel Schilling will soon be on hand to aid the contestants in navigating their new partnerships.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun about their time on the show, Rosaline lifted the lid on the drama waiting to unfold as the series continues.

She said: "Arguments started from the first dinner party, drama from the get-go.

"I was just there and everyone was falling out.”

The Channel 4 dating reality show continues tonight at 9pm.
