Phillip Schofield This Morning scandal to be laid bare in ‘jaw-dropping’ new TV series
THE story of Phillip Schofield’s fling with a young runner on This Morning is being made into a TV series, we can reveal.
Work has begun on the “jaw- dropping” drama chronicling Schofield’s affair which culminated in his exit from the ITV daytime show.
A source said the series — working title The Runner — would “mirror how the scandal unfolded” to the point Schofield, 61, quit in May after 21 years as host.
It would include how he lied to his co-presenter Holly Willoughby, 42, show bosses and management company YMU about his extra-marital relationship.
The source said: “A production company’s started work and they think the series would be a perfect fit for Channel 4.
“The storyline will reflect what went on. People have seen it from the outside but the drama will give a perspective on what may have occurred behind-closed-doors.

After he stepped down, YMU dropped Schofield.
ITV launched an external investigation and it is due to report back this month.
After admitting his fling, Schofield told The Sun he had not groomed the runner or abused his position of power.
