Inside The Masked Singer shake-up as Rita Ora forced to miss episodes during new series
SHE has become the jewel in The Masked Singer’s crown since the show began back in January 2020.
But now the ITV show's fan favourite Rita Ora's booming success means she is going to be spending a little less time on the panel during the next series – after work commitments forced her to pull out of filming.
The pop star will be replaced by a handful of famous celebrities who were available to keep her seat warm.
A source said: “Rita is a massive part of The Masked Singer family alongside Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan and Davina McCall and she will be missed.
“The show is a huge part of Rita’s life but her hectic schedule means she is going to miss a couple of shows in the upcoming series.
“Filming on the new instalment begins in the coming weeks and Rita is going to be there when she can.

“The show’s bosses are lining up some stellar celebrity guests to hold the fort while Rita is off and they can’t wait to surprise fans with who they have booked.”
Earlier this week it was revealed how Rita was stepping in for Nicole Scherzinger on the American version of the hit competition.
And given Nicole is going to be in the UK starring in West End show Sunset Boulevard later this month, it may be that Nicole returns the favour for Rita by stepping in for her.
Rita confirmed she would be back and said of missing some shows: “I’m gutted to be missing some episodes on the new season but keeping my seat warm are some great guest panellists who I’m told are also super competitive and will keep the others on their toes, especially Jonathan! Bring it on.”
