Inside Coronation Street’s Darren Morfitt’s life away from soap – from Hollywood fame to famous wife
NEW CORRIE character Dom Everett is already making waves for his bad decisions on the show as a deadbeat dad, but Darren Morfitt's soap alter ego couldn't be further from his real personality.
The English actor, 49, starred in a variety of thrillers such as Doomsday and Dog Soldiers before arriving on the scene at the Cobbles.
His new role as Dom has him playing the absent father of young Eliza Woodrow.
He has already shown his true colours by trying to sell his daughter to grandpa Stu Highway for £10k.
Although it is Darren's first time in Weatherfield, he is no stranger to the role of villain.
The Hollywood actor previously played Sergeant Colin Brackley in the first season of Line of Duty, a popular British cop show.

During the series his character accidentally shot an innocent man - in front of the victim's wife and baby.
The policeman then attempted to cover up his mistake by lying at the inquest.
The English star is also known for playing a Transport deck officer in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
And Darren's wife happens to be a well-known actress herself.
While he keeps his private life under wraps, he is happy to show off his marriage with Helen Latham.
The pair met at Darren's theatre school in 1995, and had a beautiful wedding with close friends and family nine years later.
Helen is best known for playing Lucy Milligan in two seasons of drama series Footballers' Wives, as well as spin-off show Footballers' Wives: Extra Time.
