EastEnders star Kim Medcalf finally pictured after disappearing from the soap & fans are terrified she’ll never return
EASTENDERS star Kim Medcalf has finally been pictured after disappearing from the soap - as fans fear she'll never return.
Kim has played Sam Mitchell on and off in the BBC soap from 2002 to 2005 and then again from 2022 until earlier this year.
Sam exited Albert Square to head to Spain to manage a luxury new bar in a hotel.
She later called Jack Branning to tell him she would be staying on until "at least the end of summer" as the hotel had been inundated with guests.
It's left fans fearing she may never return to Walford, so they were delighted to see a new snap of Kim out and about in London.
A black cab driver got the star to pose for a selfie in the sunshine after giving her a ride, with Kim smiling while wearing a white top with a multi-coloured detailing on it and her blonde hair hanging loosely around her shoulders.

He captioned the snap: "Is that Sam Butcher? No it’s Kim Medcalf, sure knows how to get around London in a hurry. what a lovely lady, Thank you the pleasure was all mine."
Sharing the snap on an EastEnders fan forum with the title 'Samxiety', one fan wrote: "If I’d picked her up in a taxi I’d have locked the doors and driven her straight back into Elstree."
Another added: "When Ricky was trashing Sam for just sending a gift basket for Charli's birth, I felt sad, not because it was out of character for her, but because it reminded me we never really got the opportunity to see her become closer to Ricky (and I'm not sure we will even if she returns).
£Kim brought so much warmth to Sam that you always wanted her to find that happiness."

A third shared: "The way we all went from being pleased he was back to just wishing he'd GO so we could keep Sam, only for her to go on a break later anyway. It's been a rough year."
Meanwhile, another wrote: "My Samxiety is really bad at the moment. I'm not enjoying the show as much without her on it. Kim makes the character so watchable and multi-layered and if she comes back it would be the perfect antidote to Karen's axing."
EastEnders airs on BBC One and is available on BBC iPlayer.
