The feisty former ITV panellist, 63, revealed her habit started from the age of three.

Her crime spree went on for a decade before she was eventually caught thieving while Christmas shopping.

Writing in her Best magazine column, Carol explained: “When I was three, I used to pop along to Woolworths and steal mouth organs and stash them in the cupboard.

"Later, at age 12, me and a bunch of friends went on a Christmas shoplifting spree, again in Woolworths, where I was caught with Sellotape and a pottery horse in my bag.

“The police were called and took me home, where they proceeded to scare the pants off me with threats of a criminal record, which would probably have ruined my life."

She added: "I never did it again.”

Carol previously revealed how she had "stepped back" from her Loose Women daytime TV gig due to "unjust" contract disputes.

She then went on to blast "woke" Loose Women bosses after quitting the ITV panel.

According to , her comments on TNT radio were at the "centre" of her decision to quit.

Carol's TNT Radio interview for The Freeman Report with James Freeman is said to have seen her accuse media organisations of being "bought off by the Government."
