Strictly Come Dancing security crisis as picture of staff pass posted online – sparking fears for stars’ safety

STRICTLY Come Dancing has been plunged into a security crisis after a picture of a staff pass was posted online.

The BBC celebrity ballroom dancing show launches this weekend for a three month run but it has already been hit by a big blunder.

The top level security of the set has been compromised after a crew member posted a picture of their pass to tens of thousands of people online.

A source revealed: “This was a huge security blunder.

“Having what the passes look like out there puts the celebrities at massive risk. 

“Anyone could copy a pass and get access to the production putting the stars at potential risk of harm. It’s a massive security breach.”

A Strictly spokesperson declined to comment, insisting the show “doesn’t comment on security matters”.

This year's Strictly stars posed for a glamorous photoshoot ahead of the new series kicking off on September 16th.

The full cast contains the likes of broadcasting legend Angela Rippon, West End star Layton Williams and Casualty actor Nigel Harman.

Former Coronation Street star Ellie LeachSherlock star Amanda Abbington, legendary entertainer Les Dennis and Waterloo Road's Adam Thomas will also compete.

Other names to take part include Eddie KadiAngela Scanlon, Nikita KandaKrishnan Guru-Murthy, and Annabel Croft.

Jody Cundy will also appear alongside the show’s first ever Love Island contestant in Zara McDermot and EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier.
