GMB’s Susanna Reid reveals she’ll miss Monday’s show as she updates fans on health issues

SUSANNA Reid has revealed she won't be on Monday morning's Good Morning Britain as she continues to battle a vocal cord infection.

The presenter, 52, missed Wednesday's episode of Good Morning Britain after losing her voice at the National Television Awards.

Susanna took to Instagram to share an update with fans and told how she's still out of action.

In a clip, she said: "Quick update on my voice which as you can hear is not one hundred per cent.

"I feel absolutely fine but the specialist that I saw on Friday said not to risk it until it is better.

"Thank you to everyone at GMB for stepping in and to all of you for your brilliant tips. I have been steaming and also doing honey and lemon and ginger and turmeric tea and drinking tons and tons of water. I will see you soon."

Susanna added in a caption: "Sorry I won't be with you in the morning. Vocal chords affected by mild infection (not [Covid]), that I didn't even realise I had.

"Need to rest them a little longer."

Ed Balls was left baffled by Susanna pulling out of Wednesday's show after seeing her earlier in the morning.

He said: "I was about to say, you know, I came into the studio as usual about 4:30am. Walked past Susanna Reid's dressing room. There was Susanna, as always, in her white dressing gown, getting ready for the show to come. This feels like a bit of a change!"

Charlotte Hawkins, who was also at the prestigious telly industry event inside London's O2 with her co-stars, said: "The reason is, because you saw Susanna there, but we couldn't hear her because she has unfortunately lost her voice."
