Love Island star Zara McDermott reveals she’s looking forward to glam Strictly costumes
EX-LOVE Islander Zara McDermott is looking forward to the glamorous Strictly Come Dancing costumes.
The documentary-maker, 26, who worked as a civil servant before finding fame on reality TV in 2018, said: “It’s one of the best parts of the show, getting Strictlyfied.
“I remember watching the first series when I was seven with my nan.
"We were sat in the living room together and I was just mesmerised by all the outfits.
“Even at such a young age, I was dreaming of wearing something like that and now I’m here I’m pinching myself every single second.”
Zara, who featured on X Factor: Celebrity in 2019, admitted she was nervous about making a mistake on live TV.

She said: “I’m into documentary making and it’s a really different kind of world.
"What I do, it’s not live and it takes quite a lot of time, this is live. If you get it wrong on the night, you get it wrong.
“So there’s that side of it as well that I find really scary, as I’ve not done it before.
“My job is spending time talking to other people and listening to their stories, but now this is all of a sudden all about me.

“People are trying to make me feel comfortable in a situation I don’t feel overly comfortable with. It’s a very different way of working. It’s something I’m not used to.”
Asked how her boyfriend Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson, 31, felt about her doing the show, she said: “He’s very excited and supportive.”
Meanwhile, Angela Scanlon is keen to get active on the show after the birth of her two young children.
The TV presenter, 39, shares her two daughters, Ruby, four, and 18-month-old Marnie, with her entrepreneur husband, Roy Horgan.
She said: “I haven’t exercised in such a long time and that was a massive part of the appeal.
“I will learn to be in my body again — I’m so excited to get fit.”
