EASTENDERS star Bobby Brazier has opened up about the famous Strictly Come Dancing curse - saying he's looking for a "beautiful relationship" with his pro partner.

The actor - who picked up the gong for Rising Star at the National Television Awards on Tuesday - told The Sun that although he is currently single, he does not think a romance is on the cards while on the BBC dance competition.

Instead, Bobby said he has already formed a good connection with his Strictly pro, and is keen to have a "sisterly" relationship with his female partner.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Bobby said: "I'm over the moon with my partner.

"It's hard because my body is not used to that kind of exercise but it's a lot of fun.

"You go through so many emotions and to go through those emotions with someone, is a really sweet beautiful thing.

"I'm single, I'm looking for a beautiful relationship - like a big sister.

"I'm looking for a really sweet lovely endearing experience."

Opening up about the best part of his training so far, Bobby said: "Meeting everyone, dancing with everyone, the music, the stage and learning with my partner."

But the soap star admitted there are already a few frontrunners in the competition including Radio 1Xtra Eddi Kadi.

"Everyone's got a bit, I don't know about competition but Eddi [Kadi] is really good, his hips I'm really drawn to that," he told us.

"I'm a good groover but there is a difference between a groove and a dance. I love to dance on a night out."

Bobby, son of TV’s Jeff Brazier and late reality telly star Jade Goody, said he hopes to make his parents proud with a special tribute dance.

When asked if there are any songs that mum would have liked you to dance to, Bobby said: "I know my mum liked Usher but I'd also like to dance to, and this isn't necessarily for her but I'd like to dance to This Woman's Work by Maxwell. It's a really beautiful song."

He is currently on a break from the soap as he is set to appear on Strictly Come Dancing later this month.

But the actor, son of TV’s Jeff Brazier and late reality telly star Jade Goody, is looking forward to returning to Albert Square.

He said: “I’ll be going back to EastEnders as soon as Strictly is over. I love that show and I want to do more with Freddie.

“I’ve been at EastEnders for a year now and straight away people made me feel at home.

“I think that was a huge part of the reason I progressed as an actor. They are so sweet and loving and affectionate.”
