Coronation Street’s Stephen Reid actor Todd Boyce lands brand new job amid rumours serial killer will exit soap
CORONATION Street villain Todd Boyce has landed a brand new role away from the soap amid rumours that he is set to exit the show.
Actor Todd, 62, who currently plays serial killer Stephen Reid on the ITV soap, will be appearing in pantomime this Christmas.
He will be swapping Weatherfield for the stage as he makes his Panto debut in Derby Arena’s production of Mother Goose.
Todd is thought to have signed a big money deal to play the Panto’s baddie Demon Vanity in the production.
The role will see him perform a three-week run, starting from 8th December.
A website synopsis says, "The award-winning team behind smash-hit Derby Arena pantomimes is hatching a plan to make Mother Goose an action-packed adventure guaranteed to have the whole family honking with laughter.

"Mother Goose has a loving family who drive her quackers, a bird sanctuary for peaky poultry in the village of Squalkstone and even a magical goose that lays golden eggs. She has everything anyone could possibly wish for, except the one thing she really wants, to be beautiful.
"When she makes a deal with Demon Vanity a little fowl play means she gets a lot more than she bargained for."
His brand new role comes after it was rumoured that he is set to exit the soap earlier than expected.
Bosses recently changed his current storyline which has seen Todd’s character murder three victims.

It has been rumoured that the serial killer businessman will be found out after Street regular Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) discovers the body of Teddy Tompkins, whom Stephen brutally murdered earlier this year, in scenes to be aired in the coming weeks.
The soap star was also spotted filming scenes in which his character is trying to make an escape as he arrives at the airport.
ITV declined to comment when contacted by The Sun.
