Coronation Street’s Carla Connor makes huge discovery – and sets her sights on revenge on serial killer Stephen Reid

CORONATION Street’s Carla Connor has made a huge discovery - and vowed revenge.

The businesswoman - who is played by actress Alison King in the ITV soap  - was convinced she had a psychotic breakdown earlier this year after the stress of running Underworld got to her.

However tonight she discovered that that may not have been the case.

As she spoke to business associate Rufus’ widow, she opened up about how Rufus used LSD - and once got her to join him.

Lou told Carla about what it was like and Carla realised it was the same as all the symptoms she went through.

And while viewers know Carla was drugged by Stephen Reid, Carla doesn’t - but now she does suspect that someone drugged her.

She confided in Roy Cropper about what she suspected happened but unfortunately he thought she was being paranoid again and alerted Peter Barlow.

Peter called in Dr Gaddas who assessed Carla and insisted she was fine.

Furious Carla told Roy: “I spoke to you honestly, one friend to another, and you sold me down the river. 

“You can get this into your skull - I am fine. I have insight. The only thing that’s making me paranoid is my so-called fella and my so-called mate plotting against me.”

But when Roy presented her with the details of a private clinic that would test her hair, Carla was grateful.

“That is an accredited clinic,” he said. 

“If you send them a sample of your hair they will test it for traces of LSD. LSD remains in the body for up to 90 days.”

Carla was taken aback but Roy insisted he was doing it for her, not because he agreed with what she was saying.

And then Carla issued a stern warning to the universe, saying: “I will get tested because I need to know either way.

“But I am warning you that if these results come out positive, then I will raise hell. 

“So they can look out, those who have been daft enough to make an enemy out of me, the living and the dead.”

And now fans can’t wait for her to take on Stephen.
