The programme shows off the luxury estate agent market where aspiring sellers have to earn the privilege to sell houses of the highest-end.

They have to demonstrate their abilities in the industry within the market in order to ascend the ranks and bag the top jobs.

Property Mogul Paul Kemsley, 56, has recruited eight agents who will compete for the role of super prime estate agent in his agency named Robert Irving Burns.

The first episode only aired on Tuesday (29 August) but already viewers have drawn comparisons between the BBC reality competition series The Apprentice.

One viewer remarked: "#SellingSuperHouses when you order The Apprentice from Wish 🤣."

Another claimed: "#sellingsuperhouses The Apprentice with an even more jumped-up "Lord Sugar" and even less able candidates."

"#Sellingsuperhouses is another apprentice wannabe programme where the tweets are more entertaining than the show 🤣," exclaimed a third.

A fourth noted: "If #SellingSuperHouses are just going to copy The Apprentice, but for estate agents, I can copy my predictions."

And a fifth watcher added: "So this supposed to be a mix of selling sunset and the Apprentice. . #sellingsuperhouses."

Others compared the new programme to a "rip off" the Netflix smash-hit show Selling Sunet as they took to social media to make their voices known.

One viewer asked: "Why does #sellingsuperhouses seem like a wannabe UK selling sunset."

A second fumed: "Rip off Selling Sunset, and of course one of them is a Yank! 🙄 #SellingSuperHouses."
