Maya Jama and Stormzy stuck on the tarmac at Greece airport as private jet is grounded by air traffic control delays
MAYA Jama and Stormzy were stuck on the tarmac at an airport in Greece after their private jet was grounded amid the flight chaos.
Thousands of passengers were told yesterday morning that the network was down following a major air traffic control failure and that their flights would be delayed for hours.
And it looks like Love Island host Maya and the Blinded By Your Grace rapper were not exempt from this either.
The Sun told how Stormzy whisked Love Island host Maya off to a £2,700-a-night villa as a belated 29th birthday gift.
The pair were set to return to the UK on Monday but were among a number of famous faces who have been affected by the disruption.
A source exclusively told The Sun: "Stormzy and Maya flew to Athens by helicopter then got in his private jet - but ended up being stuck on the tarmac for hours because of the flight chaos.

"Eventually they took off but on another jet and got back late last night."
Maya shared a snap of her posing in the private jet on Monday.
She looked incredible in a khaki cotton dress, a silver chain and a pair of sunglasses worn on her head.
The TV presenter flashed a big smile while holding a glass of bubbly in one hand.

She styled her natural curls loose over her shoulder and opted for a subtle makeup look.
Fans have shared their delight at the reunion after the couple were photographed holding hands on a romantic walk, 12 months after they started to rekindle their romance.
Maya and the 30-year-old rap star grinned as they walked through a busy tourist street.
An onlooker said: “Maya and Stormzy looked happier than ever. They looked like any other young couple in love.”
The couple split in 2019 following a four-year romance.
Stormzy, real name Michael Omari, later admitted he had made a mistake losing Maya.
They grew close again this time last year after Maya’s romance with Aussie basketball player Ben Simmons ended in July 2022.
In November, Maya and Stormzy kissed at the MTV VMAs in Dusseldorf, Germany.
In May this year, we revealed how Maya had been visiting Stormzy at his London home.

And this month, they were photographed together at the All Points East festival in London.
Days later they flew to Greece by private jet and have been staying at the luxury Amanzoe resort in Porto Heli.
