THE Woman in the Wall viewers have slammed the BBC drama as "nonsense" and "switched off" after watching the first episode.

This gripping BBC One series follows a woman who wakes up to find a dead body in her house.

She retraced her travels and decides that the dead woman might have some connection to her past at the Magdalene Laundry in the community.

But as viewers got to watch the first episode Sunday evening - they were left divided.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan wrote: "Another crap BBC show, I'm switching off."

A second added: "Some more nonsense from the BBC."

A third penned: "I'm out that was completely terrible."

Although there were some negative comments about the series, others seemed to love it.

One wrote: "Love all the actors! Great watch."

A second added: "Great story and actors! Excited to see the next episode."
