Gemma Atkinson celebrates ‘new mum goals’ as she gets back into daily hobby she had to give up in pregnancy

GEMMA Atkinson had to give up some beloved activities while she was pregnant, but now she's finally able to return to them since giving birth in July.

The actress took to her Instagram Stories and celebrated her "new mum goals"; as she plunged herself into a freezing cold ice bath.

Gemma, 38, was forced to stop taking ice baths while she was pregnant with baby Thiago due to the potential risks involved.

But taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the new mum of two gave her followers a glimpse into her morning routine as she returned to her beloved hobby.

Filming herself entering the ice bath with the song Let It Go by Idina Menzelin in the background, she penned to the clip: "This song seemed appropriate.

"5wks post C section. 10.5 months post-last ice bath. Small win for me!."

Another clip followed with the star getting out of the tub as she celebrated her achievement wrapped up in a towel.

She told her followers: "I did it. I only managed about 42 seconds but I did it!

"Ok, ok, tiny little back to myself again."

Gemma and her fiance Gorka Márquez, 32, welcomed newborn Thiago last month.

The actress announced the news on Instagram and told fans: "Little man is here. He arrived safe and sound and he’s utterly wonderful.

"Mia is already the mother hen we expected her to be.

"We’re all home together soaking up this lovely little bubble before Gorks has to leave for Strictly rehearsals next week.

"Thank you for all your lovely well wishes. Our family is complete."

Gemma and the Strictly Come Dancing pro already have a daughter Mia, three, together.

The pair became an item after meeting on Strictly in 2017.
