Emmerdale lines up two huge returns as Cathy Hope makes shock comeback
AFTER taking some time out earlier this year, Cathy Hope is finally returning to her family in the Dales.
But the teen isn't the only character to come back to Emmerdale as another resident is due to reappear in the ITV village next week.
Cathy Hope was thrown into a never-before-seen storyline in the ITV soap and spent months away from the eponymous village as a result.
The teen portrayed by Gabrielle Dowling was diagnosed with Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PDD) which led her to lash out on her loved ones.
After accidentally hurting her father Bob Hope (played by Tony Audenshaw), Cathy tried to run away but was found and brought back home by her adoptive mother Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop).
Convinced she needed a break from all the drama in the Dales, Cathy convinced Bob to let her go see her half-brother Scott Windsor.

While he was initially reluctant to watch her leave, Bob accepted and Cathy was last seen in the village in April, 2023.
But after some time apart, the father-daughter duo are finally reunited next week as Cathy returns.
Tearful, she is due to open up to Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) about her continuing struggles - but how will she react when she finds out the nurse cheated on her father with Dr Liam Cavanagh?
As mentioned above, the youngster won't be the only one deciding to head back to the village as Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) is set for a comeback of her own.

She quickly agrees with Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) to keep their indiscretion a secret.
But when Victoria Sugden complains about the lack of a new chef at the Hide, Suni Sharma jumps at the chance while Gabby is peeved to find out he has a chance at the job.

Much like Cathy, Gabby went through her struggles in the village when she was seduced by a shady Nicky Milligan.
Nicky was part of his father Caleb's plans to take over the Tate family legacy and agreed to dupe Gabby to get their hands on Kim's millions.
He eventually came clean to Gabby on what should have been their wedding day and admitted he was actually gay.
Distraught and angry to see Nicky swiftly move on with Suni Sharma, Gabby drowned her sorrows before making a pass at her pal Dawn's husband Billy.
