ASHLEY WALTERS looks all smiles in this first look at the final series of Top Boy - but it’s unlikely the peace will last long if the previous series are anything to go by.
The fifth and final instalment of the drama - dubbed season three by Netflix after it took over the series from Channel 4 - will hit the screener on September 7.
These exclusive photos see drug gang leader Dushane kicking back with his girlfriend Shelley, (musician Lil Simz) as he reaps the joys of being estate Summerhouse’s top boy.
But it could all easily come crashing down, as a second sneak peek sees Summerhouse crew Kieron, (Joshua Blisset), dragged away by police.
Last season, the gang member had helped Dushane, and Jaq and Romy, (Jasmine Jobson and Nyshai Caynes), dissolve weapons dealer Curtis’ team.
And he saved Sully, played by Kane Robinson, from kidnapping.

But after the character shot and killed former rival gang leader Jamie, portrayed by Michael Ward, it could spell trouble between him and business pal Dushane.
Netflix say: “Sully’s actions at the end of the last series have rewritten his business rules with Dushane.
“As new shared problems arise, everything they’ve built comes under threat from forces outside and within their empire.
“Can they coexist by the rules of the road they’ve lived by their whole lives in a world that is changing before them? Or can there only be one Top Boy?”

Speaking about the final series, Ashley and Kane said: "While the journeys of Dushane and Sully have remained at the core of the show, the new characters that have entered the world of Top Boy have become a key part of the show’s legacy, representing each new storyline in a raw, authentic way.
"With all this being said, and staying true to our original goal, every story must have an ending and so season three will be our finale.
"A chance to come full circle and end the journey in the right way.”
Top Boy season five will premiere on Netflix on September 7.
