EASTENDERS fans have been left baffled after the soap 'forgot' about Alfie Moon's brain tumour.
Beloved character Alfie, who is played by Shane Richie, was given devastating news during Wednesday's show.
He was told by doctors that he has prostate cancer, with the news shocking him to his core.
With Alfie so far keeping his diagnosis a secret, fans have pointed out how the dad-of-three has already battled the disease.
In 2017 Alfie and his now ex-wife Kat Slater appeared in EastEnders' spin-off series Redwater.
It followed the estranged couple as Kat attempted to find her long lost son.

During the show Alfie almost died on the operating table as doctors attempted to remove his brain tumour.
Fans of the BBC One soap have now accused bosses of forgetting this crucial detail about his past.
Taking to social media, one said: "So they're just not gonna reference Alfie's brain tumour at all?"
A second wrote: "So I guess Alfie's brain tumour will never be mentioned again. Recovery by retcon?"
