But his feelings for Charity Dingle resurface

Mackenzie Boyd (portrayed by Lawrence Robb) tied the knot with Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) earlier this year.

However, it soon transpired that he had fathered Chloe Harris’ son Reuben.

Unable to forgive, Charity declared she wanted a divorce before one thing led to another and Mack decided to give romance a chance with Chloe (Jessie Elland).

The pair have since formed a close-knitted family with their son Reuben.

But if they cheat with you, they most probably will be cheating on you down the line.

Coming up next week on ITV, Chloe and Mack are relaxing into their new relationship.

Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) is emotional when her brother Mackenzie asks her to be Reuben’s godmother.

Meanwhile, Chloe is thrilled her own sister Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) and Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) agree to be godparents too.

When the venue falls through Chloe initially laughs off Charity’s genuine offer to host it in the Woolpack.

Before long, Mackenzie heads round cap in hand to grovel to Charity to take up her generous offer.

They both end up emotional and, eventually, Mackenzie and Charity fall into a passionate embrace.

After the event they are both embarrassed and Mack dashes out leaving Charity to process the afternoon’s activity.

When he returns home, he’s guilty about how grateful Chloe is for his work for the Christening.

Unbeknownst to him Charity, can’t help but hope for a reunion with her estranged husband.

The following day, Mack is very preoccupied leaving Chloe to awkwardly diffuse the tension.

Mackenzie turns up at Butlers Farm looking for some sisterly advice.

Moira gives him a reality check and reminds him he could risk losing Reuben if Chloe finds out about him and Charity.
