ADAM Thomas has hit back at Strictly Come Dancing's 'fix' row amid speculation he has an advantage in the competition.
The former Emmerdale actor, 34, was announced as the eighth star this morning, yet he faces 'fix' fears given his wife Caroline, 32, is a trained dancer who runs her own dance school.
But as Adam broke his silence on joining the show on social media tonight, he was quick to stress that he has no advantage in the competition.
While he did not address his wife and her experience directly, he made a point of how little he knows about dancing.
Taking to instagram, he said: "Well the news is finally out. Guys, I do not know what I have gotten myself into as I cannot dance to save my life as you'll probably find out sooner or later."
He continued: "But you know what, I have been wanting to do this show for so many years now and I cannot believe it is finally happening."

Before he signed off, he repeated his claims that he will not be a frontrunner in any way.
He smiled: "I cannot wait to get on that dancefloor and show you how I cannot dance to save my life."
Adam added a caption to the video, writing: "Probably the worst kept secret ever haha, but thank you for all your kind words, can’t wait to get started!! Let’s goooo!!! @bbcstrictly
"I know I’ve definitely got my work cut out… but am up for the challenge."
