THE One Show anchor Alex Jones stunned viewers as she revealed the programme is taking a three week break.
At the same time - and to lessen the blow - the Welsh BBC One presenter, 46, let slip co-presenter Roman Kemp's brand new series on the channel.
Alex made the reveal as The One Show wrapped on Friday.
It came following an exciting episode in which Angela Rippon, 78, was confirmed to be Strictly Come Dancing's oldest star for the upcoming series.
Alex, dressed in a smart pinstripe strapless waistcoat and cream trousers, told viewers: "Thank you to all of our guests tonight.
"We are on a three week break now aren't we, we are on holiday?" before turning to radio DJ Roman, who looked chic in all-black.

She continued: "We are back on Tuesday 29th August.
"But in the meantime, look out for Roman here on a brand new quiz show - it's called the finish line coming soon to BBC.
"And you've teamed up with Sarah Greene haven't you?"
He replied: "Ah yeah she's my new partner in crime," before quipping: "Don't worry you're still my favourite.

Nathan Dawes then played out the remainder of the show to get viewers "in a holiday spirit."
Earlier this week, the BBC gave a first look at The Finish Line.
The programme sees contestants compete in quiz-fuelled races across a unique racetrack set.
Knowledge equals speed so the more you know, the further you go.
In each episode, five contestants battle across a series of qualifiers and head-to-head races for the chance to win a cash prize.
The aim of the game is simple - make it to the finish line before your rivals.
After the big reveal, Roman said: “I’m so excited to be hosting The Finish Line, coming to BBC One this summer.
"I’m a huge fan of quiz shows and with this being my first time hosting one, I really can’t wait for people to see it.
“I love that it’s a brand-new format but based on an iconic horse-racing fairground game. The show is challenging and unpredictable; we know that viewers will be hooked!”
Sarah, 65, added: “I’m absolutely thrilled that people can watch The Finish Line soon.
"It’s quickfire, nail-biting and utterly compelling. AND I get to keep cheeky Roman Kemp and our fabulous contestants on their toes!”
