Having already tracked down and met his dad, Kat [Jessie Wallace] had no choice but to tell Freddie - played by Bobby Brazier - how he had raped Little Mo [Kacey Ainsworth].

Hearing how his dad went to prison for his vile crime and that his mum had done everything she could to shield him from the truth, it became too much for Freddie.

He said he was getting some water but he disappeared and turned up on the roof of the Queen Vic where he was found by Gina Knight.

She talked to him about his mum and how strong she clearly was to ignore everything that his dad did to still raise Freddie with love.

Just as Kat, Billy and Alfie were at breaking point and on the phone to the police, Freddie walked back in and insisted he was OK but wanted to be alone.

But as Freddie went to his room to cope with what he’d learned, he got a message from his dad.

“Just wanted to say again how good it was to meet you today,” he said.

“It’s like all my Christmases. I’ve already told your sisters and they can’t wait. Anyway give us a call when you get this and I’ll give you directions to ours for dinner this Saturday.

“See you soon son.”

Freddie was devastated and deleted the voicemail before falling onto his bed and sobbing.

Viewers are utterly heartbroken for him.

One wrote: "Why am i on the verge of tears over this Little Mo and Freddie stuff."

A second said: "These Freddie scenes are giving me chills."

Another added: "My heart is absolutely breaking for Freddie."
