EMMERDALE’S Dan Spencer seals his own fate as he gets devastating news about Lloyd.
The mechanic - who is played by actor Liam Fox in the ITV soaps - decided to plead guilty to assaulting pervert Lloyd after a crisis of conscience.
But as Dan appeared in court to plead on the charges, in the hospital things hit dire straits.
Comatose Lloyd crashed - and the hospital staff rushed in to save him.
They battled to bring him back but nothing worked and he was declared dead.
In court Dan was asked what his plea was and as he suffered flashbacks to what Lloyd did to Amelia and the punch, he made a shock decision.

“Guilty, you honour, I plead guilty,” he said.
Amelia was horrified and Dan rushed home where Julie tracked him down.
Screaming at him in the village she revealed that Lloyd had died - with the realisation that he now faces a murder charge.
He told Will: “I thought I’d done the right thing pleading guilty but I’ve just made everything a million times worse. I had to face up to what I did.”

As Amelia walked in furious with her dad, she started ranting, forcing Dan to tell her: “Lloyd’s dead. I killed him.”
He added: “I couldn’t lie anymore. It just didn’t feel right. I let him get inside my head and he wound me up.
“Lloyd didn’t lash out. He said some horrible things but it was me who snapped. It wasn’t self-defence. I threw that punch in anger. He’s dead because of me.”
The news means Dan likely faces life in prison for Lloyd’s death and viewers are shocked.
