Lost Dogs Live is about locating missing dogs up and down the country.

During her time on the show, Clare has faced questions about her 'expertise' to host the show.

But she isn't afraid to give her opinion as she made a brutal dig at guest trainer and Jeremy Vine star Storm Huntley in last night's episode.

Viewers saw a segment where Storm explained how she trained her dog, Boo, to do recall.

Boo refused to "come" when she was called, so Storm resulted to using soft cheese as a reward, which was proven very effective.

Storm explained: "The idea is to gradually increase the distance. The secret to recall is always rewarding your dog with a treat or a fuss when they come back.

"Boo seems now to get the idea, but Boo isn't getting tired so this training session must end. But we have definitely made progress."

However, when it cut to Clare back to the studio, she looked rather unimpressed and made a brutal dig at Boo and her trainer Storm's performance.

Clare commented: "Yeah, I think there is a bit of work to be done there if I'm honest."

This comes after the new Channel 5 show received a backlash from viewers when it first aired.

Taking to Twitter, one fan did not hold back as they said: "This UTTER MADNESS is currently live on Channel 5. Clare Balding doing her best here in fairness.

"It’s like Crimewatch for Dogs. Recreations. Dramatic music. Breathy narration. Dog Drone Unit. It’s wonderful. And entirely ludicrous."

Another penned: "Posh Clare Balding is an expert on  Golf,  Tennis,  Horse racing, and now dogs!"

A third wrote: "Lost dogs with Clare Balding. Is that an old Partridge pitch?"

Clare Balding's Lost Dogs Live airs Tuesdays at 8pm on Channel 5 and streams on My5.
