Inside real-life Coronation Street couple Georgia Taylor and Charlie Di Melo’s Italy holiday

CORONATION Street star Georgia Taylor and her former on-screen boyfriend Charlie de Melo looked loved up as they holidayed in Italy together.

Charlie and Georgia first met on the ITV soap playing on-screen couple Toyah Battersby and Imran Habeeb, until Imran’s unexpected death in 2022.

A devastated Toyah discovered her boyfriend Imran had fathered Abi's baby, so she drove their car into a wall killing Imran as a result.

Even though their on-screen relationship didn't work out, in real life, they couldn't look happier.

Georgia took to Instagram to post a series of sunny photos from their Italian holiday and captioned it: "LimonCharlo, Mildred and the hat go on an Italian adventure."

The photographs showcased the beautiful Italy sunset, architecture and sea views.

The couple posed on a boat, in a bar with a massive beer glass and a restaurant with a huge lemon.

Their fellow soaps stars rushed to the comment section to gush over the new couple's relationship and picturesque setting.

Former Hollyoaks star and Corrie newcomer Stephanie Davis wrote: "Aww looks amazing hope your having an amazing time".

Co-star Jane Danson, who plays Leanne Battersby, commented: "Gorgeous xxx".

Another Corrie co-star Sally Carman, who plays Abi Webster, commented that she "couldn’t love these more".

Charlie shared a similar grid of pictures from Italy and he captioned it: "A Squeezy Toes Experience."

Charlie and Georgia confirmed their romance earlier this year in February, whilst enjoying a weekend break away in Scotland.

Georgia and Charlie are said to have become close in recent months following her split with partner Mark Letheren in July 2022 after being together for 14 years.

A source told The Sun said that Georgia and Charlie had been dating for a few months: "They became great friends while playing on screen lovers in Corrie and when they found themselves single their relationship developed into romance."

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
