I was on Love Island this year and couple are doomed – she really wanted someone else

LOVE Island's Catherine Agbaje has dished the dirt on the villa - including which couple she thinks is heading for splitsville.

The TV star, who was dumped from the island earlier this month in a ruthless elimination, has said that Ella Barnes actually had her eyes on someone else.

The couple were axed from the show on last night's episode, just ahead of tonight's Love Island 2023 final, but Catherine doesn't think they will last.

"What I believe is Mitchel is not Ella B's usual type and for Mitchel to say he feels Ella B is a little bit fake, that's not coming from what I've just seen," she told New magazine.

"We can see that she really wanted Ty and then she goes to Mitchel, so I don't actually think they would work on the outside."

She said it wasn't a good sign that they were having these kind of talks so early on into their relationship, adding: "The villa is meant to be your honeymoon stage."

Catherine and Elom Ahlijah-Wilson were both stunned after they received an unexpected text telling them that fans voted them the "least compatible".

The sudden dumping left their fellow islanders in shock and the pair made an emotional exit.

However, since leaving the villa Catherine decided to cool things off and go separate ways.

An insider said: “The pair struggled to make it work in the real world and barely saw each other since the show ended.

“They kept up a bit of a pretence, while they did the podcast circuit, but everyone knew it was over before it even really started.

“Catherine's sister made no secret about her feelings towards Elom so it's no surprise she cooled things off straight away.”

In Sunday's installment of the show, the remaining Love Islanders got all dressed up ahead of the final episode.

Molly Marsh and Zachariah Noble, Jess Harding and Sammy Root, Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki and Tyrique Hyde and Ella Thomas are the Love Island 2023 finalists.

In last night's episode, Maya Jama served us an extra helping of Love Island drama, inviting Scott Van Der Sluis and Abi Moores to the Aftersun sofa, as well as the freshly axed duo (Mitch and Ella b).

She also shared a wholesome preview of the finalists dressed up in glamorous gear, where they could be seen preparing to give their final declarations of love.

This is where the Islanders prepare heartfelt speeches and announce their feelings to their partner, to celebrate the final episode of the series.

The boys donned suits for the occasion and the girls looked amazing in evening dresses.

Tonight will see the series draw to a close and a villa King and Queen will be crowned.

The Love Island 2023 summer final airs on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm tomorrow.
