Big Brother set to bring back show legends for explosive reboot in huge all-stars twist
ITV’S reboot of Big Brother could feature some of the best-known faces from the original Channel 4 series.
“Nasty Nick” Bateman, Chanelle Hayes and Nadia Almada are among the names it is hoped may appear when the reality TV favourite returns this autumn.
But far from having to twist the arms of the former stars to be a part of the new incarnation, many have actually contacted producers asking to be a part of it.
A TV insider said: “They have really fired the imaginations of show bosses because they are keen to recapture the magic that made the programme such a hit when it launched 23 years ago.
“It won’t be a reboot full of old faces, it’s likely to be a smattering rather than a deluge of BB veterans.
“They know that they need the random mix of people that featured in the original C4 version, so this is a way to help achieve that.

“The one thing they don’t want to do is deliver a show which is essentially a Love Island-style contest full of beautiful people.
“They actually want the quirky, often controversial characters that are going to stir things up and make things interesting — and many of the names in the frame have proven track records in that respect.”
Nasty Nick, 55, shot to fame in the first series when he slyly attempted to turn housemates against each other before being caught out and confronted over his behaviour.
Trans contestant Nadia, 46, won in 2004 and Chanelle, 35, became a star of the 2007 series despite walking out.

Other possible returnees include Kinga Karolczak, who gained infamy for her wine bottle party trick, and Makosi Musambasi, who claimed she may have got pregnant from a clinch in the hot tub, despite not actually having had sex.
Big Brother moved across to Channel 5 in 2011 before falling ratings led to it being axed in 2018.
But last year The Sun revealed it was coming back — and going to ITV2.
The reboot is expected to air in October and will be hosted by former Strictly star AJ Odudu and her close pal Will Best.
