Lorraine in presenter shake up – after ITV cancels Good Morning Britain
THE Lorraine show has been subject to a huge presenter switch-up during a morning of changes to the ITV schedule.
The broadcaster's re-jig kicked off with flagship breakfast series Good Morning Britain being cancelled - leaving fans up in arms.
ITV tea-time quiz show The Chase then made an impromptu appearance at 8.05am after the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 clash between Philippines versus Switzerland ended at 2-0 to the European side.
Despite the upheaval, the Lorraine show still kept its slot at 9am.
Yet there were more surprises for fans as regular host Lorraine Kelly, 63 - who fronts the programme every Monday to Friday - was absent.
Instead she was replaced by regular stand-in Christine Lampard, 44.

The ITV broadcaster made her entrance in a pretty floral frock and pink hat and glasses - as a nod to the Barbie movie.
Christine posed on a mock pink motorbike as she revealed the impending release date of the Margot Robbie flick.
Just a fortnight ago, Christine again stood in as Lorraine was away from screens.
At the time, Good Morning Britain anchor Susanna Reid, 52, crossed over to regular stand-in Christine in the separate studio.
She said: "Christine is standing in for Lorraine," before the broadcaster crossed to Christine, who was wearing a stylish green dress.
No reason was given for anchor Lorraine's absence.
Back in February, Lorraine was unexpectedly missing from her show after being struck down with sickness.
The broadcaster was pulled out of hosting the live broadcast at the last minute.
Lorraine was also absent the following month as she enjoyed an Easter break.
