Her show, which documents her day-to-day life, launched with its first series earlier this year to phenomenal success.

Now, having confirmed that the second series is due to be released this October, Charlotte opened up about one special moment with her mum she is hoping to share on the show.

Charlotte's mum, Letitia, bravely opened up on her breast cancer battle on the show, inspiring countless women up and down the country who have had the same diagnosis.

Letitia had previously expressed her desire to finish her treatment and reach the milestone of 'ringing the bell' to firmly declare that she is cancer-free.

Charlotte and her boyfriend Jake Ankers, with whom she shares baby Alba Jean, became a rock for Letitia throughout her treatment.

The confirmation of the show's return has sent Charlotte's fans into overdrive after they were left begging for her to return to screens.

In a video clip of her surrounded by the BBC film crew, Charlotte held onto her daughter in her arms as she drummed up excitement for the impending series.

Writing at length, she said: "I am so excited and grateful to announce that I am going to be back on BBC3 in October bringing you series 2 of Charlotte in Sunderland!

"The first series was a rollercoaster and I will be forever grateful to the BBC and Chatterbox for the sensitivity they showed while filming some of the happiest and saddest moments of my life.

"We captured such special memories on film and I will treasure forever the end result which was such a tribute to my lovely little Nana Jean."

She added: "Series 2 will bring everyone completely up to date with me and Jake and Alba, we are praying it will see my Mam successfully complete her treatment for breast cancer and ring the bell - hopefully it will be full of Lols and a few surprises.

"Sharing is caring and you can be sure there will be a lot of that in series 2, love you all and hope your as excited as we are for another crazy series."
