Susanna Reid ‘missing’ from ITV summer party after saying ‘goodbye’ to Good Morning Britain
SUSANNA Reid was "missing" from the ITV summer party after saying "goodbye" to Good Morning Britain
The red carpet was rolled out for the channel's extensive roster of talent last night but GMB host Susanna, 52, was nowhere to be seen.
Her co-star Richard Madeley, 67, went, though, and so did Charlotte Hawkins, 48, who looked gorgeous in a sparkly pink minidress.
While fans have speculated that there is tension between the pair this week, following a series of 'awkward' exchanges, it appears there was a simpler explanation for Susanna's no-show.
The star is actually currently on her summer break from the show, as she announced on air on Wednesday.
An insider told The Sun: "Susanna didn't snub the party, she is just on her usual break from the show so wasn't available to attend the event. It had nothing to do with Richard being there."

Viewers picked up on reoccurring digs and annoyed looks during their early morning shows, in which Richard has been compared to Steve Coogan's hapless TV character Alan Partridge.
On Tuesday, Susanna was seen rolling her eyes, shrugging and pulling faces during the three-hour show.
She frowned as Richard interjected during a conversation with Lorraine Kelly via video link from her own TV studio.
A body language expert has since claimed Susanna looks "embarrassed" when Richard makes his so-called Alan Partridge gaffes.
"I think sometimes, because Richard is very direct and outspoken, Susanna's not afraid of showing how she really feels.
"She seemed part embarrassed and part ashamed over Richard's behaviour as he joked about wife Judy.
"I think with some of the things he says, she gets not angry but frustrated with him."
The Sun has contacted an ITV representative for comment.
