Coronation Street shock as police make arrest after Stephen Reid’s killer plan is exposed
CORONATION Street has dropped a shocking twist on fans after Stephen Reid’s plan to murder Elaine Jones was uncovered.
The serial killer - who is played by actor Todd Boyce in the ITV soap - had been planning to kill Elaine for thousands in life insurance.

But his plan hit the skids when Elaine made a shocking discovery.
After spotting a picture of Stephen with Gabrielle and recognising her as the business associate Elaine was terrified and ran to son Tim.
He helped her break into Stephen’s lockbox and they found the forged life insurance policy and realised Stephen was after her money.
Elaine was terrified and begged Tim to help her pack her things so she could leave and not have to see him.

He sent her to his house and stayed to pack for her but Stephen returned and confronted him.
“We’re onto you, me and my mum,” Tim said.
“She’s not here, you’ll never get close to her again. She’s probably with the police telling them everything.
“We’re onto you. We found the insurance letter with the signature you forged. And mum saw a picture of your ex-wife Gabrielle who you’re supposed to hate who you’re pretending that you work with. So come on, what other lies have you said?”

Stephen called Tim a “pathetic, small small man” and added: “You’re onto me? You have no idea what I’m capable of.
“You know nothing about me. How could you? Look at you. You’re just a small small man with mummy issues who has no idea what you’re messing with. You are nothing.”
Tim grabbed him and knocked him into the handrail on the stairs leaving Stephen screaming at him to get out.
He left to go and take the belongings to his mum, and Stephen took a turn for the worst.
Dragging himself into the street, Stephen appeared to have developed a serious head wound and collapsed on the cobbles.
Found by his nephew David, Stephen was rushed to hospital but back on the street Elaine was terrified.
Sally was with Gail when she got the call about Stephen and rushed round to find out the truth about what happened.
Later Craig arrived and arrested Tim on suspicion of assault - leaving Elaine and Sally horrified.
But fans just want Stephen exposed and caught.
One wrote: "It’s about time Stephen had his comeuppance."
