But as Kathy Gillian Taylforth entered the registry office in her stunning wedding dress, viewers spotted a blunder.

Taking to social media, eagle-eyed fans were convinced the set for the scenes was recycled from Holby City.

One said: “Kathy and Rocky’s wedding is blatantly taking place in another corner of Holby City, let’s hope they don’t run into Ian, recuperating in his French hospital bed.”

A second wrote: “This looks more like a hospital than wedding venue.”

“This place looks familiar, have they used it before I wonder,” said a third.

Holby City came to an end last year after 23 years on the BBC.

Meanwhile, Kathy and Rocky’s wedding day didn’t go smoothly as one would expect in soapland.

During the speeches just before Rocky was beginning a singing tribute to his new bride, Jo turned up and raised a toast to ‘Mrs Cotton’.

She revealed how she tricked Rocky into thinking he was divorced, even sending him a fake decree absolute in order to make sure he goes through with it.

As Kathy and Rocky told her her plan wouldn’t work, Jo revealed she’d recorded herself telling Rocky they were still married.

And she pointed out that he would end up going to prison for seven long years.
