As she closed the episode with Money Saving Expert, Martin Lewis, 51, anchor Susanna, 52, cheerfully said: "Good Morning Britain back tomorrow at 6am.

"I am saying goodbye now!" before giving a big wave.

She then added: "It's time for Lorraine!"

Back in May, she made the same comment before taking time away from the screen for the half-term break.

It is not known how long Susanna - who regularly fronts the programme with Ed Balls, 56, Richard Madeley, 67, and Martin, 51 - will take off for the summer holiday break.

Ben Shephard, 48, and Kate Garraway, 56, who present on Thursdays and Fridays, will likely step in and cover.

Ranvir Singh, 45, is another fan-favourite to help with holiday cover.

Meanwhile, back at Christmas-time, a brand new host was revealed - this being journalist Gordon Smart.

Wednesday's Good Morning Britain was a particularly emotional one for Susanna.

She fought back tears while speaking to her "incredible" friend and cancer campaigner Suki Thompson amid her terminal cancer diagnosis.

Susanna was also required to step-in following an on-air blip from co-host Martin Lewis.
