EMMERDALE fans are in shock after Mary Goskirk made a decision about blackmailer Faye.
The retired journalist - who is played by actress Louise Jameson in the ITV soap - is being blackmailed into withdrawing her fraud and assault charges against Faye under threat of having an intimate picture sent to her friends and family.
Tonight cruel Faye let herself into Mary’s home and sat with her grandson Leo to put the screws onto Mary.
Dripping her poison, she said: “Imagine how April would look at you? And the stick she’d get at school.”
Mary tried to get her to see reason but Faye spat back: “I don’t want to go to prison Mary.
“Regrettably for you, I’ve got nothing to lose so why go down without a fight, I say.”

She gave Mary just a day to make her decision - or she’d send the photo to everyone, but as she issued her threat Rhona returned and caught her.
But in a shock twist it seems Mary is going to let Faye get away with it all.
“You do know what it took for me to come out at my age,” she told her daughter.
“What Faye’s done has tainted all that. I wish I’d never put myself out there. I’m ashamed too for having let her fool me.”

She added: “All I can do is try to claw back what little dignity I have left which is why I’m going to retract my statement tomorrow morning.
“It’s the only way out. And I know this makes me the coward. I know I’ll never get justice. But I’m just going to have to live with that, aren’t I?”
Viewers are in shock at her decision.

A second said: "Mary is crazy - she should speak to Bernice, who is an old hand at nude photos being sent everywhere."
Another added: "She'll do it to countless others Mary, that's the wrong call."
