Judy Finnigan slams Holly Willoughby’s ‘ridiculous and dangerous’ off-camera job

THIS Morning legend Judy Finnigan has made a series of digs at Holly Willoughby's lifestyle brand and others like it.

Judy - who previously hosted the ITV morning show alongside her husband Richard Madeley from 1998 to 2001 - slammed Holly's "ridiculous" and "dangerous" off-camera job.

Holly, 42, owns her own lifestyle brand Wylde Moon, described on her official website as: "Holly Willoughby's official lifestyle and guidance brand, encouraging you to value reconnecting with yourself."

TV presenter Judy, 75, claimed wellness sites like Wylde Moon"make fortunes for their charismatic hosts under the guise of caring for women's wellbeing".

Speaking to   magazine, Judy said: "Rosamund Pike is scathing about Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop website and claims the whole wellness industry is a con.

"Hurrah! I've been waiting for someone to have a go, not just at Goop but at other 'wellness' websites such as Holly Willoughby's Wylde Moon (not the ridiculous woo-woo spelling, meant to sound elementally female.)"

Judy implied that people are being taken advantage of, saying they are "conned" out of their hard-earned cash by some wellness sites like Wylde Moon.

She continued: "I think we're all being conned by the wellness industry. The idea that it's no longer enough to be healthy and we have to be 'well'... I think it's really dangerous."

Holly has previously been branded "greedy" after showing off a £450 necklace for sale on her Wylde Moon site.

She asked her followers which piece they'd be buying - but some were unimpressed with the price.

Fans rushed to leave their responses, with one writing: "It's all gorgeous, especially the moon and star necklace. Just way too expensive for the average person to buy."

Another said: "Far too expensive Holly sorry we don't have your money!"

Someone else commented: "Beautiful but beyond the means of many people I think."

And a fourth added: "£450 for a gold plated necklace with diamond chips with no information as to their source? This is greedy profiteering at its best."

Last year Holly hit back after the new lifestyle website was branded "wacky" by some when it launched last year.

In a new interview with  magazine, the mum-of-three reflects: "I think that people struggle with some of the ideas.

"The moment that I launched Wylde Moon, the word 'wacky' got used a lot.

"I expected that. And that’s fine. I can’t change that. I’m not here to force any of this on anybody. It’s not 'come and meditate with me' or 'look at the moon and play a sound-bowl'.

"It’s please go and do that thing that makes your heart sing. Go and do you."

Holly said she is used to criticism and trolling, but refuses to pander to people's expectations of her.

She added: "I’m not afraid of the reaction to it any more. If it doesn’t fit with what your thoughts and expectations of me are, well then there’s nothing I can do about it.
