The Sixth Commandment actress Anne Reid fans horrified as Lorraine Kelly reveals her ‘real age’ live on TV
FANS of actress Anne Reid were horrified after Lorraine Kelly broke her promise by revealing her "real age" on TV.
The star of new BBC drama, The Sixth Commandment, had warned the presenter off-air not to it up.
Telling viewers, Lorraine said: "I know I promised you, I promised you I wouldn't say your age, and so I won't..."
She went on to praise Anne Reid's successful career and youthful looks.
Anne hit back: "I look at myself on-screen and think I look like a 200-year-old lizard."
Lorraine laughed: "No you don't, behave yourself!"

Later in the programme, Anne had left the building and Lorraine seized on the opportunity to reveal her age.
"I was talking to The Sixth Commandment actress Anne Reid earlier.
"Thanks for all your messages."
Lorraine then read out a viewer's tweet, saying they "I can't believe Anne is XXX old".
Lorraine then broke her promise, adding: "We're not allowed to say that she's 88...."
Anne is best known for her roles as Celia Dawson in Last Tango in Halifax and Jean in the sitcom dinnerladies.
She also played Valerie Barlow in Coronation Street back in 1961.
Anne's latest TV project is a gripping four-part series, which is based on a true story.
The script was written as an original drama by acclaimed screenwriter Sarah Phelps.
