EastEnders fan favourite Mercy actress Bunmi Mojekwu quits fame for ‘normal job’ – 12 years after soap exit
EASTENDERS star Bunmi Mojekwu has quit fame for a "normal job" - 12 years after leaving the soap.
The 34-year-old starred as EastEnders fan favourite Mercy Olubunmi who married Arthur "Fatboy" Chubb.
Mercy was last seen in Walford in July 2011 and these days Bunmi has a very different job.
She now works as an artist and producer, and regularly shows off her work on social media.
Bunmi's LinkedIn page says: "Bunmi launched her own film and creative company BAM Productions. Dedicated to producing ideas and translating them into print to 'Change the Narrative'."
Mercy made her first EastEnders appearance in the Internet spin-off series E20.

She later joined the main soap cast in May 2010. Mercy left husband Fatboy heartbroken when she decided to return to Nigeria in 2011.
Speaking about her exit from the soap at the time, Bunmi told KentNews: "Leaving was kind of a mutual thing - it was coming towards the end of the character's journey.
"I felt it was time for me to come off the back of this and challenge myself before I became a bit too rooted in the show.
"I didn't want that to happen, so I definitely feel comfortable coming out of EastEnders now. I have gained enough exposure and I want to move on to bigger things."

She also insisted she would never return to Albert Square, adding: "Although I love EastEnders, I wouldn't return - I am not a believer in going backwards.
"I like to go forwards and that chapter is definitely closed, but I had a great time there."
