A Place in the Sun viewers complain latest episode’s major change ‘does nothing for me’

A PLACE in the Sun viewers have complained over the latest episode's major change.

The Channel 4 series previously announced a huge change to the format in 2021.

A Place In The Sun usually focuses on house hunts in Europe, with Spain and the Canary Islands featuring prominently.

During the pandemic, the show was restricted on where filming could occur.

As restrictions eased, the show headed further afield, and posts on the show's official Twitter and Facebook accounts revealed plans for a shake-up.

At the time, the posts read: "The A Place in the Sun TV crews are getting ready to film some brand new shows in the stunning Caribbean in November and December this year!

"So if you’re looking for a dream home in Barbados, Antigua or any of the paradise islands, apply now!"

As the episodes air on TV screens, fans took to social media as they slammed the show for the change in format.

Although most recent episodes have come from locations in France and Portugal, viewers have also been treated to watching shows that were filmed in Barbados, St Lucia and Corfu.

George, who has mobility issues, and her partner Bob were looking for a dream house on St Lucia.

Despite the episode featuring luxury villa's with expansive swimming pools, it seems viewers did not take to the new content.

One user tweeted: "These Caribbean eps do nothing for me. I'll stick with it to see if I'm swayed. Not sure its the best choice of destination, 7 hrs in a plane with mobility issues. #aplaceinthesun."

They added: "Mobility issues. FFS. 😂 Good afternoon Placers. Bit tired today and it’s the Carribean so not sure if I’ll last."

Another exclaimed: "Nope, it still does nothing for me. Seems like there's very little to do apart from lying in the sun 🥱 ."

Whilst a third wrote: "Afternoon Placers 👋 just got in 🥵am I hearing right? St Lucia? Well there's a curve ball…. not a salt flat in sight 🤪#aplaceinthesun."
