A FORMER TV star has revealed how they after starring in a creepy kids’ classic show and various other soaps they have turned their back on fame for a ‘normal’ job.
BBC series Moondial captured the imaginations of children in the 80s with its time-travelling adventures and creepy storylines.
Siri Neal, 50, starred as Minty in the six-part show lived with her aunt while her mum recovered following a car accident.
After getting wandering around the grounds of a nearby mansion, Minty gets drawn to a moondial that allows her to travel back in time.
Various adventures ensue after meeting children Tom and Sarah from different centuries as she tries to save them from their difficult lives.
The show was seriously creepy and with some questionable scenes that included desperate struggles with witches, evil spirits and maybe even the Devil himself!

After her brush with fame as a teenager, Siri continued with her chosen career as an actor, enjoying parts in Sharpe alongside Sean Bean, and ITV's iconic soap The Bill.
However, Siri has now turned her back on acting to work in education for , a non-profit organisation.
According to her bio on the charity's website, after years of working in film, television and theatre, Siri gained a BA in English Language and Literature and then qualified to be a teacher.
After more than ten years in the classroom, she joined The Garden Classroom as Director of Education.
