Casualty confirms Holby City crossover as beloved character returns for special episode

CASUALTY has confirmed a Holby City crossover as one beloved character returns for a special episode.
The BBC medical drama is set to air a very special episode which will celebrate 75 years of the NHS.
In even more exciting news to fans, it's been revealed that Davood Ghadami, 40, is set to come back to the franchise as Eli Ebrahimi.
His last appearance on-screen was nearly 18 months ago as part of the Holby City series finale.
The special instalment of Casualty will air on Saturday (July 15) and viewers will watch as Eli will Stevie in treating someone involved in a terrible road incident.

On top of the gripping plot, the show will break it's own format as real-life medical professionals will also provide commentary and analysis.
In a statement previewing the event, executive producer Jon Sen explained : "To mark the 75th anniversary we wanted to shine a light on the awe-inspiring work of the doctors, nurses and paramedics who work in the NHS.
"The episode tells a powerful story that dramatises the skill and immense team-work that goes into helping one patient, Amartya, as he fights for his life.
"We were thrilled when real medical professionals agreed to be interviewed to offer an insight into the highs and lows of dealing with these cases on a daily basis."

He added: "In this one-off episode the audience gains a truly authentic glimpse behind the curtain to understand what it feels like to stand in the shoes of NHS professionals."
Davood is also known for his role as Kush Kazemi on EastEnders, for which he played for seven years.
He took on the part of the beloved market trader on the London based soap in 2014, but the character was killed by villain Gray Atkins in 2021.
