Gogglebox legends reveal huge new job in return to prime time TV months after quitting sofa

GOGGLEBOX favourites Mica and Marcus have delighted fans as the revealed they'll be popping up on our screens very soon on a prime time game show.

The popular pairing, who have let cameras into their homes for the past five years, shocked fans today when they announced in December that they will no longer appear on the Channel 4 show.

Many fans were devastated the the duo had quit the show and called for them to return.

Earlier today Mica took to Instagram to reveal that the duo will be appearing in an upcoming episode of BBC's The Weakest Link, hosted by comedian Romesh Ranganathan.

The Channel 4 stars will be joining former goalkeeper David Seaman & his Dancing on Ice star wife Frankie Poultney.

Mica shared a series of pictures from the famous podium and wrote: "Not our ugly mugs on The Weakest Link. Before you ask, we don’t know when it’s gonna be aired but as soon as we know, you’ll know."

One fan wrote: "I miss you guys on Gogglebox," while a second posted: "Can't wait to watch this."

A third added: "Hope you had a ball."

Last year the couple shared the news that they were leaving the show.

The posted a brief statement on Instagram that read: "We've had so much fun with you all tuning in at home & the hard-working Gogglebox crews but it's time to put down the remote and see what God has in store for us."

Back in October, Mica thanked fans for their support after a death in the family.

She said in an emotional post: "To everyone that has sent love, prayers, concern, well wishes and condolences to our family, on behalf of Marky & I we thank you.

"I Hope you all have a blessed Day and remember to enjoy each other, blow the dust off them board games, catch some joke, life and memories are so precious."

Gym owner Marcus also shared their sad news on his Instagram page.

"As most of you may already know, I have had a bereavement in my family," he wrote.

"As a result, the gym will be closed today. Both children and adult sessions are cancelled whilst my family celebrate the life of our loved one."

Mica and Marcus shot to fame in 2018 when they joined the Channel 4 show for its 11th series.

They were originally joined by Mica's two daughters Sachelle and Shuggy, but the girls decided to opt out of more recent series.

Recently, hairstylist Mica shared an adorable snap of their blended family - which included Marcus' rarely-seen son Shiloh and Mica's youngest son Yash.

And she revealed her joy back in July when she became a grandmother.
