BBC Breakfast’s Carol Kirkwood lands new role away from weather presenting gig
BBC Breakfast host Carol Kirkwood has revealed a brand new role away from the show.
The cheery BBC favourite, 61, is known for delighting fans with her BBC Breakfast weather forecasts.
Yet she juggles her daily weather reviews with a career off-screen as a top author.
Carol has penned a series of novels during her two decades on telly including this summer's release, The Secrets Of The Villa Amore.
She will now offer fans the chance to meet her and chat about plotlines during a tour of her native Scotland.
The four-day journey will see the bunch step on the Jacobite Steam Train for a tour of the Scottish Highlands.

Organisers promise: "Carol will give an exclusive talk, as well as joining you for a day exploring by rail."
It added: "You'll pass through Morar, where Carol grew up, and she will tell stories of the Loch Morar monster, as well as her twice-weekly train journey to school in Fort William."
Meanwhile, publisher Harper Collins previously told how The Hotel on the Riviera author was inspired to write her first novel by "her passion for travel and her love of Hollywood glamour."
Her new move came after Carol expanded her broadcasting career with a new TV gig.

And it seems the residents of Albert Square in EastEnders are fans of her flagship morning show, BBC Breakfast.
n one scene, Patrick Trueman was meant to be doing the housework with Denzel Danes but the pair instead put their feet up and watched television.
Of course, Patrick, who is played by Rudolph Walker, had tuned into the BBC.
Carol appeared on his screen which left the EastEnders icon gushing.
He told Denzel: "That Carol Kirkwood! Aye, aye, aye.
"We could make some sweet, sweet music together, you know."
Amused by Patrick's crush on the weather presenter, Denzel said: "I hear this guy.
"Look, you'd be punching Patrick!"

Recently, Carol stunned on-screen in an orange figure-hugging dress.
She also previously dazzled in a tight-fit blue pencil dress.
