BBC Breakfast’s highest-paid stars revealed after Naga Munchetty’s salary surged
BBC Breakfast presenter salaries have been revealed - with one star's £335k wage eclipsing their colleagues.
Today's report revealed salaries for presenters earning more than £150,000 totalled £23.4million in the 12 months to the end of March 2023.
Gary Lineker is still the Beeb's top earning star overall, and number of newsreaders make up the top 10.
While the BBC Breakfast hosts didn't make that part of the list, Naga Munchetty proved to be the show's biggest earner by a long shot.
Naga, 47, earned £335,000- £339,999 to the end of March 2023, while her Thursday to Saturday co-anchor Charlie Stayt, 60, came in next at £190,000-£194,999.
Next was Jon Kay, who became a full-time anchor on BBC Breakfast alongside Sally Nugent in July last year following Dan Walker's departure.

Jon, 53, earned £185,000-189,999 for 130 days presenting the show Monday to Wednesday as well as his earnings as a correspondent and cover before his full time role began.
Sally, 51, was just behind Jon with earnings of £178,000-£184,999 for 180 days presenting, as she fronts the show each week from Monday to Wednesday.
However, Naga's earnings are significantly higher than her fellow BBC Breakfast presenters as she also fronts her own BBC 5 Live radio show Monday to Wednesday.
It means she only really has Sundays off from her BBC commitments.

But surprisingly, Naga has actually seen her salary drop this year, as it is £30,000 less than it was in 2022.
The list does not include all presenters and actors because BBC Studios, the BBC's commercial arm, does not have to publish its own stars' salaries.
BBC Studios produces The Graham Norton Show, explaining his absence from the list.
It means the annual pay bill has surged to a six-year high.
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One.
