BBC Breakfast’s Carol Kirkwood in epic soap crossover nobody saw coming

BBC BREAKFAST star Carol Kirkwood featured in an epic soap crossover last night.

It seems the residents of Albert Square in EastEnders are fans of the flagship morning show.

Carol, 61, featured in last night's instalment of the long-running soap.

In one scene, Patrick Trueman was meant to be doing the housework with Denzel Danes but the pair instead put their feet up and watched television.

Of course, Patrick, who is played by Rudolph Walker, had tuned into the BBC.

Carol Kirkwood appeared on his screen which left the EastEnders icon gushing.

He told Denzel: "That Carol Kirkwood! Aye, aye, aye.

"We could make some sweet, sweet music together, you know."

Amused by Patrick's crush on the weather presenter, Denzel said: "I hear this guy.

"Look, you'd be punching Patrick!"

Howie and Denise then walked in and demanded Denzel get up and do the housework.

The scene left viewers at home amused, as one fan said: "Patrick lusting after Carol Kirkwood!"

A second wrote: "Patrick's got the hots for Carol Kirkwood!"

"Patrick’s got the hots for Carol Kirkwood. Yeah man," said a third.

While a fourth commented: "That’s why Patrick gets up at six to watch Breakfast."

Fans also tagged Carol on social media in the hope the presenter would see the scene.
