Dennis Wise reveals if he’ll appear in villa for show’s ‘Meet The Parents’ day
FOOTBALL legend Dennis Wise has revealed if he'll appear in the Love Island villa for the hotly-anticipated Meet The Parents episode.
The dad of Islander Amber, 19, has been watching the villa antics from the family home back in the UK but struggled seeing her in tears after Sammy Root plunged her into TWO love triangles.
Islanders’ families regularly feature on Aftersun and in the villa itself for the Meet The Parents segment.
But sadly Dennis won’t be involved, instead leaving the duties to his wife of 19 years, Claire and possibly his son George, 15.
Speaking exclusively, Dennis said: “After Gemma Owen appeared in last year's show, Amber was inundated with requests for various shows but when Love Island first got in touch it was about the winter one.
“But she'd just started uni so that was a no, and then they asked again about the summer one.

“If I’m being honest it was a ‘No, please’ from me.
“She came to me with all the reasons she wanted to do it and eventually I said ‘Okay, fine’
“When she made that decision, we fully backed her.”
Amber joined the ITV2 dating show last week as part of its Casa Amor relationship test and immediately made a splash with the lusty lads of the villa.

But it forced her into a difficult series of love triangles in a battle for Sammy’s heart - firstly against another Casa Amor girl, Gabby Jeffrey and secondly against original Islander Jess Harding.
The struggle has seen Amber reduced to tears.
Dennis said: “Let’s just say Sammy wouldn’t be welcome at home at this present time. If I'm being honest, he’s not The One.
“Amber felt used I think and it’s disappointing to see as a father.
“I am protective of her - I think all fathers are of their daughters, that’s just the way it is.
“The upsetting thing about it is she kind of said to him ‘don’t go and do that please’ but he'd already done it.”
Sammy kissed both Amber and Gabby in quick succession to “help get clarity”.
Dennis continued: “That was the disappointing thing, the fact that she thought 'Is he going to do this?' and he did.
“You know, a lot of girls in that show get upset.

“Amber didn't want him to see, which is good. She wasn't balling her eyes out.
“But what I think with Amber is that she will be a little bit more guarded now.”
