Netflix bags string of huge dramas after signing game-changing deal with rival streamer
NETFLIX has bagged a string of huge dramas after signing a game-changing deal with a rival streamer.
The subscription based service has put pen to paper with Warner Bros Discovery in a landscape altering exchange.
Shows such as Insecure will be dropped on the rival streamer for audiences in the US.
All five series of the show are now available to watch by Netflix subscribers.
Other series expected to land for users in the US include Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Six Feet Under and Ballers.

It's due to a co-exclusive deal that was confirmed with Warner Bros. Discovery’s Max.
Earlier on in May, HBO's US-based streaming service HBO Max re-branded to Max.
However reports that although the shows will be available for countries outside the states, the UK will not be included in that list.
This comes as True Blood has also been made available to stream internationally, as it's currently on Hulu in the US.

Last month, it was previously revealed that the drama was to lead a number of HBO shows to land on Netflix.
This is the first time that the streaming service will air HBO content in the states.
It was also reported by that some HBO execs pushed back against the deal, however they chose to move forward due to corporate financial considerations.
At the opening stages of his tenure, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav hinted he would be open to licence content instead of stick to an exclusivity strategy.
And earlier in 2023, the studio made moves to distribute programmes such as Westworld to platforms such as Roko and Tubi.
